Bones are vital for long-term health, providing structural support and enabling mobility. However, torsional bony deformities frequently develop in certain patient groups, leading to significant clinical challenges. The project INSIDE-BONE aims to bridge that gap: Hans Kainz and his team examine the relationship between mechanical loading, bone growth, and femoral morphology. This research could shift clinical practice from reactive surgical approaches to proactive, non-invasive strategies, offering new possibilities for preventing and managing bony deformities in children.
